Refund Policy

1. General Policy Overview

At The Ecom Foundry, we are committed to delivering high-quality professional services across our Ecommerce, Publishing, and Web Development pillars. Because our work involves significant labor, custom digital assets, and strategic resource allocation, we follow a structured refund policy based on the stage of project completion.

2. Service-Specific Terms

• Ecommerce Automation & Management:
  • Setup and onboarding fees are non-refundable once technical integration, account audits, or store builds have commenced.
  • Monthly management fees require 30 days' written notice for cancellation. Fees processed for the current billing cycle are non-refundable.
• Book Writing & Publishing:
  • Refunds for ghostwriting, editing, or design are only available for milestones that have not yet been initiated.
  • Once a draft, edit, or design asset is delivered for review, that portion of the service is considered fulfilled and is non-refundable.
• Web Development & Design:
  • Initial deposits are non-refundable as they secure project scheduling and cover initial research/wireframing phases.
  • Subsequent milestone payments are non-refundable once the specific development phase (e.g., UI/UX Design, Beta Development, or Final Launch) has been approved or completed.

3. Non-Refundable Costs

The following items are strictly non-refundable under all circumstances:

• Third-party costs (e.g., domain registration, hosting fees, ISBN purchases, or advertising spend).
• Administrative fees used to initiate the project.
• Work delivered according to the agreed-upon Scope of Work (SOW).

4. Project Cancellation & "Kill Fees"

If a client terminates a project mid-way through a milestone, The Ecom Foundry reserves the right to retain a "Kill Fee" proportional to the hours and resources expended up to the date of cancellation. Any remaining unearned balance will be returned to the client within 14 business days.

5. Termination for Cause

The Ecom Foundry reserves the right to terminate any project or service agreement immediately and without a refund if the client:

• Fails to make payments according to the agreed schedule.
• Fails to provide necessary information, assets, or approvals required to move the project forward for a period exceeding 30 days.
• Violates the professional code of conduct or terms of the Master Service Agreement.

6. Revision & Satisfaction

We strive for excellence. If you are unsatisfied with a deliverable, we offer a 7-day revision window following delivery. We will make every reasonable effort to adjust the work to meet the original project specifications before a refund request is evaluated.
